Extensive research has indicated that the core of digital transformation is not cutting-edge technology or infrastructure, but people, culture and mindsets. When we talk about culture, corporate leadership and a company’s investment in its own employees are key variables.

Today, as part of TeamSpirit’s thought leadership series titled “Digital Transformation: Make Everyone A Creator”, we have invited Elena Chow, founder of ConnectOne, to share with us her thoughts on digital transformation and the future of work.

The interview is divided into four parts:

In the first part of the interview, Elena shared with us the evolving nature of work and of the term “career”. She also shared with us the rise of the “gig” economy” and the growing market need for practitioners with “generalist” as opposed to “specialist” skills.

In the second part of the interview, Elena expounds on the key capabilities of the digital workplace and the importance of leadership in making remote work effective.

In the third part of the interview, Elena shares with us her thoughts on new business models that might emerge from COVID-19, as well as innovative new positions from the “professional gig economy”.

Last but not least, we discuss about the future and viability of the future of working from home/ remote work, especially in a post COVID-19 environment.

We love to hear from you what you think about the above interview, and the notion of placing people at the heart of digital transformation. Please feel free to leave a comment. If you like this interview, share this post with someone whom you think can benefit too!
